FAQs
Do you supply envelopes?
I can supply envelopes or we can work with envelopes you already have, so long as they are calligraphy ink-friendly. Once you fill out my inquiry form, I’ll ask for your stationer’s name or envelope supplier to confirm this. Also, I am always happy to recommend a supplier I know and trust. Please note, if you supply envelopes I require 20% extra for errors and additions.
What ink colors are available?
Standard ink choices include black, white, and gold. If you would like a different color, I can create a custom ink mix just for you for an additional $25. Red, pink, and orange inks are not available as USPS mailing machines can’t read addresses in those colors.
What is your turnaround time?
I can typically write about 80-100 envelopes per week. That being said, please do not wait to contact me two weeks before your completed envelopes are needed. If for some reason you need the envelopes to be expedited, an additional fee will occur.
How does payment work?
For calligraphy orders under $200, I ask for full payment upon booking and signing the contract. Otherwise, 50% is due upon booking, and the remaining 50% is due upon project completion, prior to shipping.
